Vision to Mission

Happy April! It's the beginning of the second quarter of the year! I really love this time of year, not only is the wether getting warmer, but it is a time to see how I have done with my goals/resolutions and check in to see where I need to make changes.  We often get discouraged after the first few months of the year and it leaves us working on,  basically, nothing.  To help with this, I decided to create a quick webinar sharing how to make your vision/goals/resolutions come to life! The Vision to Mission Webinar shares several easy tips that can help you achieve success!

Release + Let Go

This past week I did a lot of searching.  Feelings and emotions take over and sometimes its difficult to separate yourself from what are YOU ARE feeling and what are the feelings of others around you.  I journaled and journaled, meditated and prayed.  I know often my anxiety, my sadness, my frustration, my anger, all come from a different place.  These often do not belong to me.  They belong to a friend I spoke with, they belong to a family member who has shared something painful, they belong to the person, who wrote an article about being mistreated, but they don't belong to me!  I frequently find myself carrying this emotional baggage that has nothing to do with me.  Let me tell you something, this brings me down.  I get stuck in feeling all of these and find it challenging to empathize with the people around me without the ability to separate myself from them.  After my journaling and meditation, I have realized that I need to do more and more of separating, acknowledging those feelings and being able to offer help when appropriate, but also releasing and letting go of those that do not belong to me.  I am not the best at doing this.  I wear my heart on my sleeve and I want to be able to help everyone around me.  I am thankful for clarity and ability to start this shift.  I am now focusing more on empathizing and helping but not carrying the emotional baggage with me (believe me I have enough emotional baggage of my own LOL); this brings you down, and leaves you drained, exhausted and unable to think clear.  My intent everyday is to continue to be compassionate, accept what is going on, check with myself if there is a way I can help or a resource I can provide and withdraw.  It is a process.  I keep coming back to this daily and sometimes more than once a day. Release. Let Go.

Hard-work & Dedication

Have you ever wanted something so bad that you are daydreaming about it?  I mean, like you CANNOT stop thinking about it!?  I am working on several projects and businesses. I work day and night, building my brand, my dream career and future.  I can honestly say that its crazy and insane how much I think about my goals and my deadlines.  Daily, I am checking in with myself and seeing what's missing, what needs to be changed/adjusted, and what needs to be dropped.  It is truly a process.  I wouldn't trade it or change it for anything because ultimately I know what my goals are and where I want to go. I also know that I will continue to evolve as my goals are met and new goals are set.  This is my drive, its my passion, my purpose in life.  What I love about it most is that I can help others do the same.  I am surrounded by so many passionate and dedicated individuals that are truly amazing and I am so proud of each and everyone of them.  I am lucky to be have them in my life and even more lucky that I get to collaborate, network and build with them.  Life is too short to be disappointed and unfulfilled in your life!

March is HERE, Say WHAT?!

It's March! Closer to spring, warm weather and wrapping up the first quarter of 2018.  I like to look at March as the month of review.  What have you done to work on those goals you set for the new year?  Have you accomplished everything you set out to do? If not, what has been an obstacle or setback, and how do you plan to overcome it?  For me, like many of us, setbacks can take me ALL the way back! I have learned that this is should not be the case, why mourn a setback, when it is really an opportunity for growth and to gain knowledge.  To get back on track, I typically go back to the drawing board, see what has worked and what has not worked and try something different or new.  If I continue to do the same thing over and over with no results, it doesn't mean that nothing is ever going to work, it just means what I am currently doing is not what I am supposed to be doing!

How do I get back on track?  Well, I am a planner girl.  I LOVE planners and like to see my schedule months ahead to know what I am working on and what I have to look forward to.  I have used many planners, but recently I was given the opportunity to check out a NEW Planner! My blogger friend Nadalie over at Its' All About You Boo has created a pretty cool and neat planner, the Slay Your Goals PLANNER

I decided to start using the planner to help me break down some of my goals that I haven't made much progress on.  All I can say is AMAZING! The planner is so detailed and will have you thinking of every, single, aspect of your goal so you DON'T leave anything behind! I have NEVER seen a planner so detailed as this one.  The planner has 6 sections: Set Your Intention, Choose Your Number 1 Goal, Select 4 Mini Goals, Plan Your Year, Crush Your To-Dos, Review Your Goals.

Each section looks at different aspects of your goal and helps you think through the different things you need to do to make this goal happen.  The planner is super unique!  I must be honest, when I first printed it out, I was overwhelmed.  I felt like this is so much to think about and I didn't really want to "think" about it at that time, but I am so glad that I started working on it. My tip, do one session at a time, don't look ahead at everything because it will feel like you are doing so much.  Another tip, if you print it out, print one session out at a time, so you are focusing on that one area.  I personalized mine and added color to my pages (I printed it in black and white), this way I felt like I took ownership of everything I was writing out.  Nadalie has setup guides to help you through each section (in case you are stuck or overwhelmed like me!).  Check out the planner HERE! You will not be disappointed! So Go ahead and SLAY YOUR GOALS!

In Your Feelings

Feelings and emotions can be hard! I mean one minute you can be happy and the next you feel like the world is going to end.  Situations and circumstances can make us feel like we are not in control of ourselves, but GUESS WHAT?! You ARE! Do not let a work situation, your husband or significant other, a friend, your kids, or anyone else control YOUR feelings! Stay in control! It's hard! I know! It takes practice, but it is totally worth it to know that you are the only one in control of your feelings.  Know what else?  Your emotions are TEMPORARY.  You will only feel that way for a few minutes, maybe hours, but that moment will change and your emotions will too, so why ruin your day, your time and let others take space in your mind, your soul.

Remember, its TEMPORARY! Funny story, my twins are a great example of this.... They will cry and fuss and be upset until I feed them, change them, etc, and then they are happy and excited! I changed their situation (because they are too young to do this themselves!), but once I did their emotions changed.  How awesome is it that YOU can do the same!

Everyday, I encourage you to be in your best feeling and if someone or something tries to take that from you, DO.NOT.LET.THEM. You are in control, say it with me "I AM IN CONTROL"!

Forgiveness... It is such a challenging topic to write about because honestly who wants to feel vulnerable and really open about their feelings. We often have a difficult time letting go and forgiving others who have done us wrong, more importantly, we have the hardest time forgiving ourselves! What? I know! It's because we have to be HONEST and RAW about our feelings, our emotions, the space we are in and how to move forward and LET GO! So today I invite you to be vulnerable, dig deep and start your work on forgiving yourself and others in your life (current or past!)

February Self-Love Challenge

February is like almost here! Can you believe it?? Well ever since I can remember, February has been the month of LOVE, showing love and appreciation to your loved ones, significant other and just an overall appreciation for those in your life.  As the years go by, I have realized, more and more, that we often give so much of ourselves to others but don't give ourselves the time, the love, and care we deserve! So I am in the business of empowering, building confidence, self-esteem and just overall self-love, and I am inspired to challenge all of us to a 14 Day Self-Love Challenge! We can all work together to motivate each other in taking care of us first before we can give to others.

When sharing on social media TAG me by using hashtag #p2pselflove

Start your FEBRUARY right! Appreciate YOURSELF so others can appreciate YOU!

Can't wait to see everyone sharing their Self-Love!

Taking that Leap

I am not going to lie, these past few weeks I have been in a funk and feeling overwhelmed! Reason why? Last year, I decided that I was going to fully launch my coaching business with no regrets and not looking back.  It has been in my heart for a LONG time and after much prayer and meditation, I know I am on the right track. January has been the month to make this dream into a reality. So why the overwhelming feeling?  Well, have you ever wanted something SO bad that it excites you, scares you and makes you feel ALL types of way? Yup, this has been my feelings exactly! I want to continue to help others, I want to walk my path to my purpose, and most of all I want to succeed.  When I say succeed I am not only measuring this financially, but in ways that I am reaching others, and that I am being effective.  I know God has been giving me all the tools and continues to guide me, but it still SCARES the crap out of Me! I am officially open for business and ready to guide and help others the way I have been guided & helped.  I am EXCITED! So with further ado I introduce you to Path2Purpose Coaching

Busy Snowdays

Living in New England we are bound to have a snow day or two (maybe a few more haha!) While I love the first and maybe second snow day, by the third and fourth I am struggling to keep my boys occupied with something to do that is NOT an electronic device(s).  A few years of experience and I have learned a few tips and tricks! NOW I set out several activities for them to work on.

Here are a few of things we do with the boys:

Playing with their toys (Legos and other figurines)

These have ALL come in handy when it comes to keeping the boys busy during these snow-days! What do you do to keep your kiddos busy during snowstorms/ snow-days?

One More Thing

Hope everyone had a FANTASTIC Christmas day with family, friends, loved ones! I enjoyed my time with my hubby and my boys.  It was pretty low- key with the boys playing and the babies napping.  Now we are headed into celebrating the New Year! I alway get a little melancholic about the new year.  I feel like there are certain things that I wished I accomplished and goals that I didn't get to, but the beauty of it all is that I have not and will NOT give up! I am excited to welcome to 2018.  2017 has been good to me, and gave me quiet a few surprises so I am excited to what's to come in this new year.  O.k. so one of my favorite things to do is create vision boards and as I meditate, reflect and organize myself for 2018, I am working on my vision board.  I adding everything I want to manifest and bring to light in this year.  Here is a virtual version of my vision board!

Would love to see and hear about what's on your board!

What about your 30s?

O.k. so honestly, by the time I turned 30 I thought I would have everything figured out, like my family, my career and whatever else came my way.... well I was slightly mistaken! I am 32 and I am still trying to figure things out.  I mean I did everything that society tells me I should do (like go to college, grad school, bought a house, got married, have kids etc), and I sometimes feel unfulfilled in my life, it is more in my career area because in my home life I am VERY blessed and feel extremely lucky! I have a wonderful husband who LOVES and CARES about us sooo much and my boys are amazing (not perfect but amazing :) but NO ONE is perfect and we all should know that! Anyways as the years have gone by I have been soul searching for what type of work would fulfill me and excite me everyday... I worked as a school counselor at a private school and I truly LOVE the kids and the work, but I always wanted to do more reach a bigger audience --per se -- and I have been working on some of this, this last couple of years.  I started a non-profit back in 2013 and it has been growing, I am still building on our team, but it is a wonderful thing! I have started several small scale businesses and now I think that I am working towards my true calling (I HOPE! LOL) I enjoy and truly love helping others, it excites me, I want to do it everyday and I pray that I am able to! I will be officially launching my Coaching business in 2018! I am so nervous and excited but I feel it in my heart and soul that this is the way to go! I am also going to publish my 2 books! I am currently working on my second one right now but it will be done by Fall 2018.  (More info to come on these books) and I will continue to nurture my family as much as possible.  I am not disappointed that I did not have it all figure out by my 30s, and I don't think that there will be an end all be all type of GOAL, I am just following what my heart and soul feel its best and what God puts in my heart and soul to flourish.

Bottom line is if you don't have it all figure out by X age (whatever your goal has been), its o.k. there's always an opportunity to change and try something new, follow your passions, your calling, I know I AM!

First Snow Storm Etc...

Hi Ya'll! So this past weekend we got the first snow storm on the season in CT! My older boys were excited to go out and play in the snow! I wanted to take out my little ones but haven't really gotten them proper gear AKA snowsuits, so next one I'll be prepared for it!  O.k. so what did we do on our snowy weekend... Well the boys played outside, I baked brownies, did some laundry, and we also worked on our Advent Calendar Activities.  Some of our activities included making a Christmas Board Game, making Christmas Cards for the elderly (we are planning on visiting next week!) Singing Christmas Carols, & Researching Christmas in other countries.

Pictures from our board game!

I really LOVE doing the Advent Calendar, it definitely helps with teaching the boys what the REAL meaning of Christmas is all about and it helps us spend more time together as a family (something that it is really hard to do with the technology filled world as well as our world filled with distractions!!) I'll share with you the amazing Brownie Recipe I used from Genius Kitchen! The only thing I changed was adding the chocolate chips.  I only added about 1/4 of a cup of dairy free chocolate chunks, and it was still delicious! The boys and hubby LOVED them! Click on the picture below for full recipe!

Holiday Traditions

Holidays can be a wonderful time of the year as well as a stressful one.  Growing up, my family moved a lot and there were very little traditions that we kept.  As I got older and my family grew, I knew that I wanted that to be different for my little ones, so as the years go by our small, family traditions grow and are more embedded into our family holiday traditions.  I want to share some of our traditions and what we try to do every year!

Alright guys, lets talk about some self-care.  I mean as a mom of 4, I know first hand how often I neglect my own needs and barely have 5 minutes to myself on a daily basis.  I am working on a more effective and enjoyable way to incorporate some ME time on a day to day basis.  Self-care is so important to everyone's mental health and overall wellbeing.  I am working on a weekly goal of getting at least 30 minutes all to myself.  So far this week, I have been able to accomplish that, but who knows it that will be the case next week or the week after.  Its kind of funny that as I am sitting here writing this blog, I am multitasking, like seriously! I am currently pumping and trying to rock one of the twins to sleep.  Its a challenge, I am not going to lie, but I am determined to make some "me" time happen.  Also, we are in the middle of a busy holiday season, which brings on a lot of stress and not being able to give yourself some TLC can definitely set the tone for a stressful holiday time.  So what does your self-care look like?  My go-to's are below :)

  • Bubble Bath with a nice glass of wine

  • Pedicures
