March is HERE, Say WHAT?!

Thursday, March 8, 2018

It's March! Closer to spring, warm weather and wrapping up the first quarter of 2018.  I like to look at March as the month of review.  What have you done to work on those goals you set for the new year?  Have you accomplished everything you set out to do? If not, what has been an obstacle or setback, and how do you plan to overcome it?  For me, like many of us, setbacks can take me ALL the way back! I have learned that this is should not be the case, why mourn a setback, when it is really an opportunity for growth and to gain knowledge.  To get back on track, I typically go back to the drawing board, see what has worked and what has not worked and try something different or new.  If I continue to do the same thing over and over with no results, it doesn't mean that nothing is ever going to work, it just means what I am currently doing is not what I am supposed to be doing!

How do I get back on track?  Well, I am a planner girl.  I LOVE planners and like to see my schedule months ahead to know what I am working on and what I have to look forward to.  I have used many planners, but recently I was given the opportunity to check out a NEW Planner! My blogger friend Nadalie over at Its' All About You Boo has created a pretty cool and neat planner, the Slay Your Goals PLANNER

I decided to start using the planner to help me break down some of my goals that I haven't made much progress on.  All I can say is AMAZING! The planner is so detailed and will have you thinking of every, single, aspect of your goal so you DON'T leave anything behind! I have NEVER seen a planner so detailed as this one.  The planner has 6 sections: Set Your Intention, Choose Your Number 1 Goal, Select 4 Mini Goals, Plan Your Year, Crush Your To-Dos, Review Your Goals.

Each section looks at different aspects of your goal and helps you think through the different things you need to do to make this goal happen.  The planner is super unique!  I must be honest, when I first printed it out, I was overwhelmed.  I felt like this is so much to think about and I didn't really want to "think" about it at that time, but I am so glad that I started working on it. My tip, do one session at a time, don't look ahead at everything because it will feel like you are doing so much.  Another tip, if you print it out, print one session out at a time, so you are focusing on that one area.  I personalized mine and added color to my pages (I printed it in black and white), this way I felt like I took ownership of everything I was writing out.  Nadalie has setup guides to help you through each section (in case you are stuck or overwhelmed like me!).  Check out the planner HERE! You will not be disappointed! So Go ahead and SLAY YOUR GOALS!

  2. I've still not bought a 'proper' planner. I must say that I am tempted by some. I don't think I'll ever be one to use stickers and tape, etc. Looks like a lot of work!

  3. I could not live without my planner AND notebook. I need both... one that I can scribble in and tear paper out of, and then my planner is my Bible, hah!

  4. Ooh, that definitely sounds like a handy planner! Sadly I'm much too lazy for that. But I have been doing pretty well on all my money saving goals. I don't really have any other goals at the moment that are tangible, hehe
